List of Property Management Licensees to be Gazetted
Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) Reminds
Property Management Practitioner Provisional Licence Holders
to Enrol in PMSA Specified Courses Soonest Possible for Obtaining Formal Licence

In accordance with the requirement stipulated in the Property Management Services Ordinance (Cap. 626) (PMSO), the Property Management Services Authority (PMSA) will publish in the Gazette tomorrow the list of licensees as of 30 April 2024 under the property management (PM) industry licensing regime.

As of today, the PMSA has already issued over 780 property management company (PMC) licences. As for property management practitioners (PMPs), discounting those who have obtained both formal and provisional licences as well as those who hold more than one class of licence, over 14,000 PMPs have already been licensed.

Dr James Wong, Chairperson of the PMSA, said, “The PM industry is a major professional force in Hong Kong, and the aforementioned licensed PMCs provide services to over 2.4 million units in different types of properties in the territory. They are an integral part of our daily life and invaluable asset and resources in driving the sustainable future development of Hong Kong. The PMSA will dedicate itself towards encouraging the PM industry to uphold the three core values of “Quality”, “Integrity” and “Advancement” when providing PM services, and will continue to collaborate with various sectors of the community to incorporate ESG, i.e. protecting the environment (E – environmental), fulfilling social responsibility (S – social) and strengthening corporate governance (G – governance) into PM work so as to raise the professional standard and status of PM and drive the healthy, sustainable future development of the industry.”

In addition, the PMSA issued notice earlier to all provisional PMP licence holders who had applied for licence before the end of the three-year transitional period under the licensing regime (i.e. on or before 31 July 2023), and reminded and appealed for them to, if they have not yet enrolled in PMSA Specified Courses, should soonest possible choose appropriate course provider and enrol in such courses so as to ensure completion of the course within the validity of the provisional licence, such that they could meet the requirement and apply for formal PMP licence immediately afterwards.
