The PMSA was a supporting organisation of the Forum, and Dr James WONG was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the Forum to over 400 members of the PM industry across the country to introduce the Hong Kong PM industry licensing regime and share with the audience on the impact of the licensing regime implementation on the development of the PM industry in Hong Kong.
Dr James WONG said in his speech, “The economic growth of the GBA, combined with the country’s policy support, the economy’s further opening-up, and cities within the region becoming more close-knitted, have together created a strong demand for PM services, presenting immense opportunities for development of the PM industry, PM companies and practitioners in the GBA. The PMSA will endeavour to collaborate with various stakeholders of the PM industry continuously through the three-pronged approach of ‘regulating by licensing’, ‘setting professional standards’ and ‘encouraging continuing professional development’, and drive the PM industry of Hong Kong to seize the opportunities brought by the overall development of the GBA by taking advantage of its advantageous position further, raising its professional service standard and striving for excellence. The PMSA will also continue to dedicate itself towards driving further collaboration and exchange between the PM industry of Hong Kong and other GBA cities in order to developing together, providing PM services of enhanced quality and professionalism, thereby creating a strong sense of happiness and well-being among members of the public and building a caring community for the people to work and live in harmony.”
