Project SILVERSHIELD

To safeguard citizens from scam pitfalls, the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) recently launched Project SILVERSHIELD, which aims to harness cross-sector power for training SILVERSHIELD Ambassadors to promote anti-scam knowledge to citizens, especially the elderly.

To show support, the PMSA held jointly with the HKPF Commercial Crime Bureau and the Agency for Volunteer Service the first train-the-trainer workshop on June 21, 2023. 200 volunteers and representatives of the property management industry joined the workshop and were invited to serve as SILVERSHIELD Ambassadors. Through their influence in further training more SILVERSHIELD Ambassadors and sharing anti-scam information with citizens / tenants during property management service provision, the project’s aim of “Scams are rampant – Tell everyone!” can be achieved.
